Well Done to all those who took part in this years Swimarathon!
The event entails teams of normally up to 6 sponsored swimmers to swim for a total of 55 minutes. The sponsorship money will be donated to the Rotary Club of South Woodham Ferrers Charitable Trust to add to funds for the support of good causes.
Teams taking part can nominate 25% of the funds raised by them to go to their own charity.

Lunch Time Netball League
Venue: Riverside Ice & Leisure Centre, CM1 1FG
Price: £1 sub per match*
This year we are teaming up with Active Essex and England Netball to bring you a Lunch Time netball league in Chelmsford.
This will be a fun and relaxed league for ALL abilities.
There will be 5 players in a team with a maximum of 2 males in each team (no minimum number of males required).
You can also have up to 2 substitutes at half time if you wish.
The first session will be an hours long training session to get some practice in with your team before the league starts. For the league you will be given a fixtures list with a time slot for your match each week (you will only be required to turn up for your match time slot)
Dates: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th Sept, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 30th Oct
There will be a maximum of 8 workplace teams in the league and places will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Great Baddow Fun Run
This year the Great Baddow Fun Run will be held on Sunday 13th May 2018 at Great Baddow Recreation Ground, CM1 9RL you can Enter to do 2 miles or 10 miles. Please go to the Baddow Races Website to enter. Please be aware entry charges are shown once you go through to enter and a service fee is payable.
Walk for Life – Farleigh Hospice
Farleigh Hospice are pleased to announce that an incredible £80,000 was raised at the annual Walk for Life event on Sunday 21st May. The sponsored event, which this year celebrated its 25th anniversary, saw 830 participants enjoying a leisurely stroll across the Essex countryside on one of two scenic routes.
In 2016 as part of the woMEn TIME team we raised over £800 and loved every step of the way! so I would love to say a massive thank and congratulations to all of the ladies that completed the walk for life.
The date for next years walk is yet to be announced however if you would like to be part of the 2018 team please email your details (name, email, contact no. etc.) to email@example.com.
This will be the second Women Time Netball Tournament and it will take place on the 5th of September 2017.
Everybody is welcome whether you have not played Netball in years or still play and want something a little more competitive. This Netball tournament is for novice, non-league players and teams who want to have fun! all for FREE!
You will need a minimum of 7 in your Netball team and up to 10 max. All players must be aged 16yrs and over. Depending on how many teams enter will depend on how many games you will play, but this will be decided after the close date which is 10 working days before the competition. I would like to say a massive thank you for coming and helping at the Summer Solstice Stride on Thursday 22nd June at Anglia Ruskin University.
The evening went without a hitch and we had the biggest turnout we have ever experienced for this event with 197 walkers and helpers in total.
With your help, we also raised £732.60 for Macmillan and Essex Air Ambulance.

Race for Life
This years Race for Life is again hosted at Hylands Park and takes place on Sunday the 23rd of July.
Last year we joined around 4,000 ladies in either 5km or 10km to raise a staggering £295,000 to work towards a cure for cancer. Can we do even better this year?
